How much does shipping my bike cost?

Price can vary considerably depending on how far your bike is going, how quickly you need it to get to its destination, and many other factors, including the carrier you choose, your bike’s weight, its size and where it’s going. Please call us at 877-874-7213 for a quote.

How big can my bike be?

Your bike should be no more than 96 inches long and 40 inches wide. It’s also a good idea to know how heavy your bike is.

What do I need to know before my bike is picked up for shipping?

Before handing your bike over to your carrier, unlock the steering wheel, remove keys and, if possible, fold in the bike’s mirrors. Be sure to take everything out of any saddlebags, blog box or other storage area on your bike.

You no longer need to drain fluids from you bike prior to its pick up.

Don’t send keys or other important documents with your bike. If you’re not traveling yourself to your bike’s destination, send the keys/documents via overnight courier. In fact, our drivers won’t take the bike’s keys or documents with it when shipping.

How far in advance should I call you?

We recommend that you should call us at least one week before the day you would like the carrier to pick up your bike. More is better, however. We can help you if you have a tighter deadline for shipment. Just give us a call to discuss your specific needs.

How long does it take before my bike will get to its destination?

Simple answer: It depends. It depends on how far it’s going, weather and road conditions, Transit time usually ranges from five to 14 days. You and the carrier you choose will discuss transit estimations in more detail.

How long after I place my order will the carrier pick my bike up?

Most carriers will be able to pick up your bike within one to four days after your order.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

We generally accept reservations up to two (2) months in advance. But call us; we might be able to accommodate your needs.

Can my bike’s carrier also ship my belongings (clothing, furniture, etc.) with my bike?

Probably not; our carriers are experts in shipping motorcycles. If you’re looking to move your household, let us know. We can help you find a carrier that can move household belongings as well as motorcycles.

Can you ship my bike if it’s inoperable?

What about insurance on my bike during transit?

We automatically provide up to $5,000 in liability insurance. The full amount depends on the age, size and condition of your bike. More insurance is available; discuss your needs with us.

Please be aware that any damage to your bike prior to shipping must be noted on its Bill of Lading at the time the carrier picks it up. No insurance claims will be considered before then.

What if I can’t be there when the carrier takes delivery?

We recommend that you arrange for a family member or trusted friend to sign for the bike on your behalf. You’ll want to be sure that you provide the phone or cell number of the person (whether it’s you or someone else) who can be reached by the driver in order to schedule a pickup or delivery time. Drivers usually call from three to 24-hours in advance and their arrival time is within a four-hour window.
